| If you are looking for something to do under the Mt. Shasta night sky,
then join us for a fun and exciting star party at the base of Mt. Shasta
near the 8,000 ft. elevation. What is a star party you ask? Well it’s
where we will explore the night sky seeking out the beauty and mysteries
of celestial bodies. “Stargazing is intellectual as well as aesthetic.
It combines the thrill of exploring new realms of knowledge with the
delight of appreciating new spheres of beauty’. With our 8” Newtonian
reflector telescope, 20x80 & 25x100 high power tripod mounted astronomy
binoculars, SkyScout Personal Planetarium, and star charts you will see a
large number of Charles Messier’s 110 beautiful Nebulae, open and globular
clusters, variable and double stars, galaxies, the moons craters,
mountains, and valleys, and of course the planets in our own solar system.
Star parties are educational for young and old alike. Star party
sessions run from 4 to 5 hours in length. Once you attend one of our star
parties you will never look at the night sky the same again. Snacks and
beverages are supplied during sessions. Also we provide transportation to
and from the star party area, so leave the driving to us. For further
information or to book a star party, please call 1-800-994-7238 or email
