Whitewater Rafting in California on the Scott River

Ages: 17+ Class V (Difficult and demanding)
Season: April through June

Whitewater rafting in California on the Scott River is your classic pool and drop river. Set in a beautiful remote river canyon the Scott River offers some of the finest class IV ˆV whitewater found anywhere in Northern California. Considered by many to be sister to the Cal-Salmon, a Scott River rafting trip offers tight technical moves, boulder gardens, big drops, and white-knuckled excitement guaranteed to test the most experienced whitewater boater. This is not a river for beginners nor the faint of heart, this river will test your physical and mental abilities and demand team work from all those in the raft. Between the rapids there is little time to enjoy the beauty this river canyon has to offer with its cascading side creeks and lush green river bank. If you have rafted the Cal-Salmon and the Upper Klamath, the Scott River beckons you to experience its power and unsurpassed beauty. If you are considering rafting on the Scott River please call for available dates and water levels as conditions change rapidly due to snow melt and weather conditions. The Scott River like the Cal-Salmon is a free flowing river therefore the season varies from year to year.

Note: The minimum age required to raft the Scott is 17 years and up. Also your physical ability to swim class IV-V whitewater is required. There will be a physical fitness test given before the start of the trip. Sorry no exceptions!
