White Water Rafting California's Salmon River

Ages: 17+ Class V (Difficult and demanding)
Season: April through June

The California Salmon River, better known as the Cal Salmon River has gained popularity in the two past decades among many avid whitewater enthusiasts as the premier Class IV-V River to run in California. Big holes, strong hydraulics and technical moves are the norm for this classic pool and drop river. Whitewater rafting California's Salmon River is guaranteed to keep your heart pounding and your adrenaline pumping as you paddle through class V rapids like Cascade, Last Chance and Freight Train.

Scenery through the Cal Salmon River canyon is second to none with lush green forested hillsides, and crystal clear water, contrasted by an azure blue sky sometimes spotted with large white cumulous clouds. Whitewater rafting doesn't get any better than a Cal Salmon trip. This is not a river for beginners nor the faint of heart, the Cal Salmon will test your physical and mental abilities and demand team work from all those in the raft. If you are considering whitewater rafting on the Cal Salmon please call for available dates and water levels as conditions change rapidly due to snow melt and weather conditions. The Cal Salmon river like the Scott is a free flowing river therefore the season varies from year to year. Note: The minimum age required to raft the Cal Salmon river is 17 years and up. Also your physical ability to swim class IV-V rapids is required. There will be a physical fitness test given before the start of the trip. Sorry no exceptions!
